In the effort to broaden IMF's outreach in languages other than English,
on Sep-20, 2007 the Fund launched new home pages in six of the most
heavily used languages in the IMF: Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese,
Spanish and Russian. The new sites are an important step
forward in the Fund's efforts to convey its analysis and policy messages
to a diverse, international audience. The sites enhance the visibility
of materials in languages other than English, that previously had been
difficult to find on imf.org. In
addition, these websites are populated with key institutional materials,
such as WEO and GFSR summaries, important press releases and PINs, key
speeches and news items.
