Launched in late 2017 the FSSR diagnostic allows for an in-depth
analysis of financial sector vulnerabilities combined with an
analysis of the countries’ capacity development needs in addressing
those vulnerabilities. The resulting capacity development roadmap
for the medium term that lays out CD priorities, including those
that will be delivered by other providers, and then translates those
into follow-up activities, in a project implementation plan that
usually covers three years. The goal is to ensure substantial buy-in
and ownership from authorities, support the effective coordination
of activities of contributing stakeholders, and close monitoring to
ensure effectiveness and impact.
