STS will be supported by a tax administration expert from IMF / 31.07.2018

Starting with July 30, 2018, a bew IMF expert will offer tehcnical assistance to the national tax administration authority in the framework of the TA project supported by the Dutch government.

Martin Bergwerff, will take over Shawn Gale, who worked at STS from January 1, 2017.
The long term resident expert will work at STS for the remaining period of the project (1.5 years).

The TA objectives are focused on the following domains:
- tax compliance of high wealth individuals ;
- administration of large taxpayers;
- organizational reform of STS and strngthening of its capacity to counter large scale tax evasion;
- integrity of taxpayers base.

Also, during his first week at work, Martin Bergwerff will take part in various meetings with management of the Ministry of Finance, State tax Service and structural subdivisions of STS. During these meetings the information on priority areas of tax administration will be updated.
