IMF Assistance in implementing the Taxpayer Compliance Program

In the period 1-3 February, the IMF adviser – Mr. Norman Gillanders is visiting the Main State Tax Inspectorate.

The purpose of this visit is to offer technical support in implementing the Taxpayer Compliance Program for 2011.

In the first working day, the IMF representative held a meeting with the top management of the MSTI, within which were analyzed the measure already taken by the STS in order to realize the mentioned Program, as well were addressed the main ideas on taxpayers selection based on risk factors, in the process of the tax administration.

On the next days, discussions will continue regarding the need for adjustments of the existent situation, the ways of implementation, including the requirements for the necessary technical assistance.
