PRESS STATEMENT

IMF Technical Assistance Mission Concluded Its Work
on September 25

An IMF mission team headed by Mr. Alessandro Giustiniani, Senior Economist at the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department, worked in Chisinau during September 16-25.

The goal of the mission was to assist the National Bank of Moldova in their efforts to draw a detailed ‘road map’ for enhancing its monetary policy framework, and assess future technical assistance needs in this regard.

The mission will produce a full report including its findings and policy recommendations that will share with the authorities in due course.
