The talks covered all the aspects of the Moldovan government's collaboration
with the IMF, particularly the implementation of the new IMF programme for
2006-2009.
Richardson highlighted the constructive collaboration with the Moldovan
government, and the presence of a strong will to re-launch the cooperation with
the IMF at a more productive level.
Richardson said the fact that the draft collaboration document is worked out
and submitted by the government is a good practice implemented in premiere in
Moldova. He said that, in doing so, the government contributes to ensuring
conditions necessary to fulfil the measures aiming to improve the prospects for
a long-lasting economic growth.
The IMF official stressed that the Moldovan government has fulfilled all the
actions forecast for this period, during which both the budgetary fiscal and
monetary indexes were observed. The structural reforms are being carried out
effectively, Richardson underlined.
Richardson said that although several macro-economic indexes were influenced
by foreign factors, there has been registered a positive trend in all the

Moldova, in order to maintain the development trend, Richardson added.

the Moldovan government. The premier said the executive is interested in a good
